There are many techniques used in the water that are beneficial for human body and mind. Hydrotherapy, Halliwick, Clinical Ai CHI, aquatic motor-cognitive therapy, Watsu and so on.
In my 25 years of experience as a manual therapist I discovered that I can combine some water techniques with some Eastern and Western manual therapeutic techniques like Cranio-Sacral Osteopathy. I called the technique Essential Relaxation in warm water. Observing my clients reactions after the treatment and talking to them about their experience I noticed that they achieved a deepest possible relaxation of body and mind and emotional healing that I didn’t expect.
This may be because we as human species spend 9 months in the safe water environment in our mother womb. Or/and because our body is aprox 70 % water, I don’t know and can only make hypothesis about it.
But based on the knowledge that we have about water and my personal experience with this element, I will give huge probability that water influence our health more than just on physical and physiological level.
As I wright in my previous post I think that water is conscious, intuitive life-force that react and communicate with the environment in the real time. And if this is so, how much more can we learn from that understanding and how can we use this knowledge of the Spirit of the water to our benefit in our daily lives?
Well, the obvious option is to spend more time in the nature near or in the water. To learn how to be silent and simply listen. The Oceans, Seas, Rivers, Lakes, Waterfalls can speak to us if we are silent enough and willing to listen.
Another way is with the safe hands of skilled practitioner who can use water techniques to help us become more relaxed, silent, observant and aware. Through water techniques our sensory input can become “cleaner” of the noise that we are exposed in our daily life so we can be more receptive to the healing properties of the water element. With this we can improve and strengthen our bond, connection and communication with the water intelligence in and out of our body.
Time and time again I observed the positive effects that water has on my clients after the Essential Relaxation Water Therapy. Deep relaxation, profound insights, bright light in their eyes, often laughter, balanced emotions and lighter, less serious “detached” approach towards their problems and life issues in general.
Let’s finish with the words of one of my clients after the therapy : “ It is not just that I feel more relaxed that I ever felt in my life. It is more than that. It is the feeling, no almost knowing from my subconscious, that I live in this world but I am not of this world. For me it is a huge release.”
With Love,
Manu
